While thinking about craft activities we can do during the rainy season, I remembered a fun activity we did this time last year. (Check out the old photos – Heidi was a tiny baby!) We collected a bunch of rocks and stones around our garden, and made our own rock art. I thought it would be fun to place the brightly painted stones amongst the plants in the garden!
You don’t need much to do this craft – just some rocks, some paint and paintbrushes, and some creativity. You’ll notice that Claire pretty much painted all of her rocks pink… Surprise surprise… Luckily Jesse and I got in on the action too, and added some other colors to the mix.
Claire really enjoyed this activity, and we had a huge pile of brightly colored rocks when she was done. My only mistake was accidentally using water-soluble paint, so my dream of scattering pretty painted rocks around the garden didn’t exactly come true… 🙂
